Dot and Dabbing
Dot & Dabbing for quicker decoration

Dot & Dabbing
Dot and Dabbing is an internal alternative to traditional, solid sand and cement render.
This method of putting dots of drywall adhesive on to the wall, dabbing the plasterboard onto these dots, then using a straight edge to tap and find right level is a quicker method both in application and also in drying time. When you have rendered (roughed) an internal wall you have to wait at least 48 hours for the render to cure to allow for shrinkage before skimming. With Dot & Dab, because plasterboard is already dry, as soon as the adhesive has set you can skim straight away. On top of this plaster drys quicker on top of plasterboard which is usually 3 days, on top of new keyed render it can take 4 days to a week. So this method can save you up to a week in drying time.
